Cookie Policy
Last updated: July 5, 2026
This policy explains what cookies are, which ones carlosmorenodigital.com uses, for what purpose, and how you can manage them, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), Article 22 of Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services (LSSI-CE), and the guidance on the use of cookies issued by the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website stores in your browser when you visit it. They are used to make the website work properly, to remember your preferences, or to analyse how the site is used. Similar technologies fall under the same legal regime, such as the browser's local storage, which this website uses solely to remember your decision on the cookie banner.
2. Cookies used on this site
This website distinguishes between two types of cookies depending on whether they require your consent or not:
- Technical or necessary cookies — essential for the website to function (for example, remembering that you have already accepted or rejected the cookie banner). These do not require consent because, without them, the site could not provide the service you are requesting.
- Analytics and advertising cookies — from Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity. They are disabled by default. They are only installed in your browser if you click "Accept" on the cookie banner shown on your first visit. If you do not accept, or if you expressly reject them, these tools do not load and none of these cookies are generated.
When you accept, this site activates Google's Consent Mode v2: until you give your consent, Google Analytics and Google Ads only receive aggregated, non-identifying signals; as soon as you accept, full measurement as described in the table below is activated.
3. Cookie table
| Name | Owner / third party | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Own technical cookie — no consent required | ||||
| cmd_cookie_consent (local storage) | Carlos Moreno García (own) | Remembers your decision on the cookie banner (accept/reject) so you are not asked again on every visit. | Technical | 12 months |
| Google Analytics 4 — requires consent | ||||
| _ga | Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC | Distinguishes unique users to calculate website usage statistics (page views, visit duration, traffic source). | Analytics | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> (e.g. _ga_G-XXXXXXX) | Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC | Maintains the Google Analytics 4 session state associated with this site's measurement property. | Analytics | 2 years |
| Google Ads / DoubleClick — requires consent | ||||
| _gcl_au | Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC | Stores information on clicks on Google ads to measure conversions (Google Ads, ID AW-XXXXXXX and conversion tag). | Advertising | 90 days |
| IDE | Google Ireland Ltd. (DoubleClick) | Records and builds a profile of your browsing interests to show you relevant advertising and measure remarketing. | Advertising | 13 months |
| test_cookie | Google Ireland Ltd. (DoubleClick) | Checks whether your browser supports cookies, as a prior step to serving advertising. | Advertising | 1 day |
| Microsoft Clarity — requires consent | ||||
| _clck | Microsoft Corporation | Retains the Clarity user identifier and your preferences between visits, in order to link your behaviour (heatmaps, anonymised session recording) over time. | Analytics | 1 year |
| _clsk | Microsoft Corporation | Connects several pages viewed by the same user within one session to the Clarity server. | Analytics | 1 day |
| CLID | Microsoft Corporation | Identifies the first time Clarity detected your browser on any site using this service. | Analytics | 1 year |
| MUID | Microsoft Corporation | Unique Microsoft identifier used by Clarity/Bing to recognise devices and browsers across sites. | Analytics | 1 year |
| ANONCHK / MR / SM | Microsoft Corporation | Auxiliary technical cookies of the Clarity/Bing infrastructure used to synchronise the MUID identifier across domains. | Analytics | 10 min – 7 days |
The exact names, durations and purposes of Google's and Microsoft's cookies may vary due to technical changes made by these providers. This table is reviewed whenever a relevant change is detected. The measurement identifiers (Google Analytics, Google Ads and Microsoft Clarity) that appear in this website's code are specific to this account and are provided in the site's internal configuration, not on this public page.
4. Services that do NOT install cookies on this domain
- Google Search Console — only uses a property-verification meta tag (
google-site-verification) in the page's code. It does not install any cookie or collect data about your browsing. - Formspree (contact form) — the form submission is processed via a request to the Formspree server without reloading the page; it does not install tracking cookies on carlosmorenodigital.com.
- WhatsApp / Meta — the WhatsApp button on this website is a link that opens the WhatsApp app or website; it does not install any cookie on this site. If you continue the conversation on WhatsApp, Meta's own cookies and policies apply on its own domain.
- Geist and Geist Mono typefaces — served locally, from this same server: there is no connection to Google Fonts or any third party, no transmission of your IP address, and no cookies of any kind for this reason.
5. How to accept, reject or withdraw your consent
On your first visit to this website you will see a banner that lets you accept all cookies or reject those that are not technical. Until you accept, no analytics or advertising cookie is installed in your browser.
If you don't see the banner, or want to make sure no cookie remains installed, you can also delete them manually from your browser (see the next section).
6. How to delete cookies from your browser
In addition to managing them from this site's banner, you can block or delete cookies at any time from your browser's settings:
- Google Chrome — Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Mozilla Firefox — Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari — Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Microsoft Edge — Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies and site permissions.
Keep in mind that blocking all cookies may affect the functioning of other websites that do need them to work, although it does not affect basic browsing of this site.
